The Nebraska Poison Center is a free, 24-hour telephone service that helps people during possible poisonings. Our specialists assess the situation and recommend what to do next. Call 1.800.222.1222 to speak with a poison specialist.

Our team includes registered nurses, nurse practitioners, pharmacists and physicians. In addition to answering poisoning questions, the center provides education for the public and health professionals, collects poisoning data, conducts clinical toxicology research and assists first responders during hazardous materials incidents.
